NEW! Knitting Group to Meet on Tuesday, October 24
CM Community Center, 498 Tamalpais Dr., Corte Madera
Linda Varonin and Janet Sayles are starting a knitting and crocheting group to make blankets and hats for chemotherapy patients, grieving families, and new babies at local hospitals.
The first meeting will take place at the Community Center on Tuesday, October 24, at 11:00 AM. Beth Burrafato, volunteer coordinator for Kaiser Permanente, will come to provide information and inspiration. Thereafter, the group will meet regularly on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
No knitting or crocheting experience is required, however, there are some beautiful projects for those who do know how. Instruction and help will be provided.
Any extra yarn and knitting or crochet needles members would like to donate are welcome.

Field Trip October 25 to Two Museums at Hamilton Field
Meet at the CM Community Center parking lot at 11:00 AM to carpool. Or, if you prefer, meet at Palm Drive parking lot near Marin Museum of Contemporary Art at about 11:20.
This month, field trip participants will explore Hamilton Field in Novato. The Marin Museum of Contemporary Art(“MarinMOCA”) is a real gem that displays unique, high-quality art. The Fall National Juried Exhibition will be showing, with works from all over the country. They have a fabulous gift shop as well.
Then lunch next door at Beso Bistro, which has a good menu selection and a covered deck for eating outside when the weather is nice.
After lunch, participants will walk to the Hamilton Field Museum to learn about the history of the Air Force Base.
Please RSVP to Linda Varonin, 415-924-5343 -- even if you are joining the group at Hamilton -- so Linda can reserve a large enough table at Beso Bistro.
Come see something new and make new friends!
