JEWELRY MAKING & REPAIR WORKSHOP
Tuesday, March 27, 2012 • 10:30am-1:00pm
JEWELRY MAKING & REPAIR
Would you like to learn to make your own jewelry? One of our members, Cathy Tobin, makes some beautiful jewelry and has kindly consented to teach this workshop. Bring your own beads you've collected and/or jewelry from home that is broken or needs work (restringing, broken clasp, etc.). Get advice on how to make improvements on an existing piece or design from scratch, and learn how to crimp and otherwise attach elements of your piece.
RESOURCES
— CATHY’S HANDOUT on making a bracelet (PDF)
— LOOKING FOR BEADS? Shop locally at:
Beads of Marin: 8 Locust Avenue Mill Valley, CA 94941 or
Baubles & Beads: 1104 4th Street San Rafael, CA 94901
— Watch here for more info – we'll post some of Cathy's recommended bead, jewelry and gem shows, and other resources!
