VOLUNTEERING TO SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY
We welcome speakers from Ross Valley Village – Barbara McDonald and Loulie Sutro, who will give an update on the “Village” program, with an emphasis on Marin Village and Ross Valley Village in particular. We will follow up with a round-robin discussion about what kind of volunteering we’re all involved in: mentoring, tutoring, driving cancer patients to treatment, working with animals, students, local issues, events, etc. Volunteering can be immensely rewarding, and there are many ways to help in our community; come find out some new ideas from people who are directly involved!
==> Please BRING A DISH to share, as luncheons and programs are open to the public AND potluck! Beverages, plates and utensils are provided.
==> Please RSVP to rsvp@cmwomensclub.org by Monday, April 8 if you are coming to ensure we have enough tables and chairs set up.

MORE INFO:
Marin Villages seeks to address the service gap that many seniors face. It is a volunteer-driven membership organization which strives to help seniors age in place safely, confidently and independently. Our organization is a collaboration of local villages and a central office, which supports and enables the growth of local villages. Ross Valley Village provides a variety of programs allowing members to stay engaged, meet neighbors and participate in life-enriching events. In addition, we look at the needs of members and build a volunteer infrastructure to help meet these needs, including rides to doctor appointments, pet sitting, and household and computer help.
