Please join us at the first Potluck Luncheon of 2013. The topic will be of special importance to all of us who live in Corte Madera, Larkspur, and Greenbrae. Our speaker will be Bill Whitney, Project Manager of the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM). TAM is planning to rebuild Highway 101 between the Greenbrae Interchange and the Tamalpais Interchange as a $150 million project that will include a gigantic flying ramp.

Several of our members are concerned and have urged us all to learn about this project, ask questions, and attend the only public hearing TAM will hold, on Jan. 29 from 6:00–8:00pm in the Redwood High School cafeteria. These members have learned that the $150 million will be spent to solve only the weaving problem, not to increase capacity or address flooding problems. The Corte Madera Town Council and the Larkspur City Council expect to hold a joint meeting sometime in January where this huge project will be discussed.
