2nd TUESDAY LUNCH (POTLUCK)
March 13, 2012
PROGRAM: Twin Cities Update
Local representatives DIANE FURST(Corte Madera Town Council) and ANN MORRISON (Larkspur City Council) will let us know about what’s going on in the Twin Cities, including status reports on pending residential developments, Highway 101 projects, the new San Clemente School, plans for a little plaza near the Corte Madera Community Center (formerly known as the CM Rec Center) and more. Specifically, they will answer our questions about:
Corte Madera:
- What is the news on Wincup? Nordstrom? The Town Park plaza?
- What’s the plan for changes to Highway 101 entrances and/or exits?
- What is ABAG, and what does it mean for Corte Madera?
- Are any major events being planned?
- How is Corte Madera doing financially?
Larkspur:
- What is the news on the Rose Garden front. Any ETA's for the actual residences and in particular, the senior portion of the complex?
- What’s the plan for Doherty Drive?
- What is the SMART train construction schedule?
- What’s the timeline for the new pedestrian bridge planned for across Sir Francis Drake?
- Are any major events being planned? (centennials of library, volunteer firefighters, any others?)
- How is Larkspur doing financially?
